Sunflag (Tanzania) Limited is a fully integrated textile and clothing company located in Arusha (Tanzania). Established in 1965 the company employs over 2700 people from all walks of life and has the rate distinction of operation since its commencement.
The foundations of the Sunflag Group were laid in the early 1930’s by our visionary Chairman (Emeritus) Mr. Satya Dev Bhardwaj, when he set up the first knitting factory in Kenya. Over the past seven decades the group has never looked back. Today its operations span the globe with manufacturing facilities and offices in the United Kingdom, Tanzania, India, Thailand, Kenya, Nigeria, USA. To deliver the best service and quality at globally competitive prices all the facilities in each country are separate profit centers operating independently of each other.
We are Sunflag (T) Limited, have always believed in the best, be it raw materials, selections of machinery, trained manpower or customer service. Our plants are designed and built with equipment and expertise from world renowned companies like Schlafhorst, Rieter, Trutzschler, Sulzers, Picanol, Pai-Lung, Tube-Tex, Dilmenler to name a few.
The entire textile unit is located at Themi Industrial Area which consists of ring spinning, yarn twisting, circular knitting, warp knitting, yarn and fabric processing, a woven made up unit, mosquito net manufacturing, knitted garmenting with in-house embroidery and screen printing facilities.
We are a professionally managed company having a blend of local and overseas employees, each carrying with them a set of professional and human values as well as expertise in their respective fields. We have welfare programs that include housing, subsidized meals, transportation, insurance, medical care, education and health awareness.
Sunflag (T) Ltd. has been the largest exporter of textiles and clothing from Tanzania or the past two decades. Our core markets have been the European Union, USA, South Africa, EAC and SADAC countries.
We have never used and pledge never to use Child Labor at any stage of our production process and other activities.
Our factories are open for inspection by our customers who are more than welcome to visit us at Arusha, Tanzania at any time of the year. All our plants meet compliance standards that are needed for us to sustain the value chain with the right ethos.
